It’s been a nice few weeks for the former Minnesota standout. After a year in 2021 that saw him battle with injuries that ultimately limited him to 12 games , his progression for a Baltimore offense without a dynamic receiving corps has been paramount… and just on time. As it’s been since his arrival, it’s been Jackson and Andrews that have had to holster the load through the air.
Whether it was Ozzie Newsome calling the shots or Eric DeCosta, Baltimore has continuously built the right way via the draft. Like Andrews and Jackson, Bateman could be the next homegrown talent to become one of the best talents at his position in time.headlined his Week 2 against the Dolphins.
While it remains early, and we don’t want to get too far ahead ourselves of anointing Rashod Bateman as a legit stud in year two, he checks all the boxes of a talent primed to become a dynamic threat in the Ravens’ offense moving forward. While Jackson’s electric athleticism and playmaking ability will continue to draw the spotlight, Bateman’s progression into a legitimate WR1 in the Ravens’ offense has lifted their performance ceiling as a unit in 2022.
