Man United's defensive midfielder Casemiro was involved in a passionate moment with the Reds' new signing just before a corner
Rasmus Hojlund has revealed Casemiro said 'something in Spanish' to him before Manchester United's corner against Arsenal on Sunday.
With the scores locked at 1-1, the Sky Sports TV cameras picked up the Brazilian grabbing Hojlund's shirt before pushing him away as the United players prepared to attack a corner. The Danish striker made his debut for the club in North London replacing Anthony Martial in the 67th minute. Hojlund imposed himself well during the near half an hour cameo appearance and many suspect the 20-year-old will be starting when he returns from the international break. However, mystery still remained around what Casemiro actually said to his new teammate but the forward has cleared up what happened during a press conference in Denmark.
When asked about the incident, Hojlund replied: "He just said something in Spanish: 'Vamos' or something like that. He was happy that I gave the team perhaps a slightly different dynamic than what you get from Martial."He’s maybe a little more technically strong and looks down the gaps where I like to take the fights. After all, he hasn’t seen me play before, so he told me he was pleasantly surprised to see me play.
United have high hopes for their new striker after he joined for £72m from Atalanta in the summer. Up until Sunday, Hojlund had not made his debut for the Reds due to an injury he picked up with the Italian club during their pre-season.
