The Mango Fundraiser initiative from North Queensland sends mangoes straight from the farm to schools and community organisations that need an extra boost of financial support.

"So we started the mango fundraiser where we'd sell trays to schools, which they could then sell on for fundraising purposes. It's actually grown into probably the largest chunk of our mango business." "We were looking at the trees, and there was nothing coming but there were signs that there was something coming," he said.
She said the P&C had sold well over 400 cases of mangoes in recent years, but this year would be tougher due to the price increase and rising cost-of-living pressures. "When you have a low yield, that automatically means that the cost of production of that tray is significantly higher.
