Karsen Liotta is the actor's daughter with ex-wife Michelle Grace.
The psychological thriller, produced by Dennis Lehane and based on the 2010 book “In With the Devil: A Fallen Hero, A Serial Killer and a Dangerous Bargain for Redemption” by James Keene, is based on his real-life story.
Keene, played by Taron Egerton, was sentenced to 10 years in prison and was given a choice: go to a maximum security facility and get to know serial killer Larry Hall or stay in a minimum security prison with no parole. He decides to befriend Hall to get a confession and try to figure out where he buried the girls he killed — it’s Keene’s one chance at freedom.
Liotta plays Keene’s father, Big Jim Keene. It wasn’t his final role — the actor, known for his iconic performance as Henry Hill in Martin Scorsese’s “Goodfellas,” had several other projects in the pipeline in addition to the movie he was filming when he died.“We laughed daily and we were inseparable,” she said in an Instagram post days after his death.
“He was everything in the world to me and we couldn’t get enough of each other,” Nittolo said. “The kind of real love that one dreams of.”
