Raul Bravo spent just six months on loan at Leeds in 2003 but was an instant success at Elland Road before returning to Real Madrid and becoming a regular in the first team
Real Madrid's young defender Raul Bravo was loaned out to Leeds United at the beginning of 2003, as he awaited his chance to shine in La Liga. Despite only making six appearances for Leeds, Bravo managed to secure a spot in Real's starting line-up upon his return the following season.
After playing for various clubs, he retired in 2022 and has since turned his focus to interior design, waking up at 5.30am for his new profession. Reflecting on his career transition, the now 43 year old shared with AS, "When I hung up my boots I said to myself, 'What do I do now? ' When you stop playing football, the first year is very complicated," adding, "You don't even know where you are. A very bad feeling. It happens to all players.
Nonetheless, Bravo invested his savings into buying and personally decorating several houses, which he then showcased on Instagram, reports the Express. "I have cool work. It's my calling card as a decorator and interior designer. And the houses work, my friend. There is light, hot water..." Bravo, who earned 14 caps for Spain and made 132 appearances for Real Madrid, expressed his gratitude for his current life. "I am privileged. I am very happy with what I do. I get up at 5.30am in the morning. At 6.30am I am in the gym until 7.30am," he said.
