Heart injuries caused by COVID-19 do not appear to worsen after patients leave hospital, research published this week suggests.

Researchers examined damage to the hearts of non-vaccinated COVID-19 patients after they had been hospitalised.COVID-19 patients who suffer heart damage don't appear to get worse after recovering from their infection.

A total 235 patients were surveyed both during their initial hospitalisation and six months after being released.
