Rebecca Romijn looks forward to Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2 and what's next for Number One AKA Commander Una Chin-Riley. Strange New Worlds season 1 ended with Number One being arrested by Starfleet after they learned she is a genetically engineered Illyrian. Una's fate is Strange New Worlds season 1's big cliffhanger, although the season 2 trailers have already shown Number One back aboard the USS Enterprise.
At the press junket for Strange New Worlds season 2, Screen Rant took part in a roundtable interview with Anson Mount and Rebecca Romijn. The actress who portrays Number One elaborated on how she's excited about what's next for Una now that she is outed as a member of the genetically modified Illyrian race. Read her quote below:

It's gonna be fun moving on from that.

Fans waited over 56 years for Commander Una Chin-Riley's backstory after the Number One character's lone appearance in Star Trek's original pilot, "The Cage," where she was originated by Majel Barrett-Roddenberry. Strange New Worlds season 2 will deepen Number One's history even more, and hopefully integrate her even more fully with the Enterprise crew.
