Speaking on the legislation that will enable the Voice to Parliament referendum, the opposition leader said Australians were being asked approve “the most radical and consequential change to the way our democracy operates in our nation’s history.”“Because if Australians vote for change, then our nation, our democracy, and their lives will be fundamentally altered – and, in this case, not for the better.
Mr Dutton said enshrining an Indigenous Voice in the constitution would “take our country backwards,” describing it as “regressive, not progressive.” “This Voice, as proposed by the Prime Minister, promotes difference… The Voice will re-racialise our nation.
