There will be a chance to see the jets flying over the North West this weekend
People across Lancashire and the North West will be able to catch a glimpse of the Red Arrows this weekend as they fly over the region for the Southport Air Show.
They will be spotted making their way over from their base at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire to Southport on Saturday afternoon. And the route they are taking means the flight plan goes over a large part of the region - giving people on the ground a chance to glimpse the distinctive red Hawk trainer jets.After taking off at 2.15pm on Saturday, the Red Arrows will fly west towards the Peak District and Buxton at 2.28pm, then over Alsager and Tarporley in Cheshire before landing in Liverpool at 2.
The squad will then fly out over the sea before returning to land near Aughton and Maghull at 5.28pm. On Sunday, the Red Arrows will fly the exact same route before then returning to RAF Waddington in the evening.
