The team will be making a few stops before arriving at their final destination
Witnessing the Red Arrows is certainly an impressive sight. One of the world's premier aerobatic display teams, the Royal Air Force division is due to fly over parts of Nottinghamshire on Thursday, July 28, on their way to the Commonwealth Games.
Based at nearby RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire residents occasionally get a glimpse of the team overhead and some areas of the county are in for such a treat today. In fact, there should be a couple of chances to see the Red Arrows over Nottinghamshire, depending upon the weather. Flying Hawk fast-jets, it is understood that the team will be making a few stops before arriving at their final destination in Birmingham for the games, including a flypast at Canwick Lincoln at 7.45pm. Fans should then be able to see the team overhead to the south of Sutton on Trent in Nottinghamshire at 7.59pm.
In with a chance of seeing the display team en route to Birmingham are those between Sutton on Trent and Sutton in Ashfield. The return route allow those in West Leake, Ruddington, Edwalton, Gamston, Stoke Bardolph, Gunthorpe , Caythorpe and Hoveringham, Bleasby, Fiskerton and Rolleston a sighting of the aircraft. Of course, also in line to get prime views are all the interlinking areas as can be shown from the map included above.
As the team heads up to the west of Newark, the villages of Averham, Kelham, Little Carlton and North Muskham are all expected to be on the flight path as the team heads back to RAF Scampton.
