As reported by the National Weather Service, a red flag warning has been issued in the southern part of Arizona.

From noon until 7 p.m. Wednesday, strong and gusty winds are expected around the lower elevations of Graham and Greenlee counties and the eastern two-thirds of Cochise County. Due to the winds and the low relative humidity, the area is at a high level of fire risk, per the weather service. The winds are expected to gust from west to northwest between 35 and 40 mph, per the weather service. The humidity will be as low as 8% to 12%. The weather service advises that any fires that develop or are ongoing could have the potential to spread rapidly.
