In Red Velvet's (RVsmtown) new EP, Queendom, the K-Pop superstars fine-tuned their style and created music with their fans in mind
Red Velvet are K-Pop royalty. For the past seven years, the critically acclaimed South Korean girl group has dominated the charts with their innovative pop sound. This summer, they introduced their latest EP,, to the world—their first release since Sappy EP in 2019 year. The danceable genre-bending extended play earned the group their first spot on the Billboard Global 200.
Red Velvet represents two sides, Red being more pop-focused and Velvet delving into R&B. How does the album represent the Red side of things? YERI: My current favorite look is the caddy girl look in our new “Queendom” music video! It’s a blend of girly aesthetics with a sporty edge, and I loved the mix and match of the two. All the members pulled it off well. I wore a baby pink mini dress with a jersey jacket and a pair of white sneakers, using bold necklaces and earrings to dress up the look. I also thought this caddy girl concept really complemented the song and its uplifting sound.
