Plans are for a Sunoco at Union Deposit Road and East Park Drive in Lower Paxton Township to be redeveloped later this year.By the end of the year, a property at a well-traveled intersection in Dauphin County will be redeveloped.
The owners of a Sunoco at Union Deposit Road and East Park Drive in Lower Paxton Township said they plan to demolish the gas station building and rebuilt it with a small strip center. Shilpa Patel, of Kastbhanjan Realty Inc. in Camp Hill, said the company purchased the Sunoco and instead of investing money in renovations, decided to start from scratch. Demolition is expected to begin after Labor Day in September and the goal is to complete it by December, she said.
When completed, the site will include the Sunoco station with gas pumps as well as two retail spaces. Patel said they are looking for retailers such as cell phone companies or small grocery stores. Lower Paxton Township Supervisors approved the project’s preliminary/ final land development plans in December. Patel said her company oversees several Sunoco stations in the Harrisburg area.
