Housing Minister Julie Collins says the government will bring forward the Regional First Home Buyer Guarantee to October 1st, in order to allow eligible Australians from regional areas to access home ownership sooner.

“ANZ CoreLogic is saying that the average home buyer in regional Australia now has to save for more than 11 years for a deposit to get in the current housing market,” she said.

The Member for Hunter Dan Repacholi questioned Ms Collins on what the Albanese Labor government is doing to help with the housing affordability crisis confronting Australia.
