A reflection on the memories associated with a jar of jam and the missing of a deceased friend.
It was made before the virus, before we all went inside. Before we began walking, up and down. The jam was bottled by a friend who has since died. And so every time I open my fridge, depending on how overladen and chaotic the shelf is, I see the jam and I think of him, and I am shot through with the missing.
