Renfield star Nicholas Hoult shows his groovy moves in a deleted dance scene in which he dances in character to a catchy Jackie Wilson song.

Renfield star Nicholas Hoult shows off his groovy moves while dancing in character to a Jackie Wilson song in a deleted scene from the film. Renfield was released on April 2023 and is the latest film inspired by Bram Stoker's Dracula. The horror comedy sees Hoult as R. M. Renfield, Dracula's long-suffering familiar, and Nicolas Cage as Count Dracula, Renfield's ill-tempered and narcissistic boss.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Hoult took to Twitter to share a video of him dancing in character as Renfield to celebrate the film's release. Part of the dancing scene appears during Renfield's credits, but Hoult was able to share an extended version of the clip. The clip sees him dancing in the streets to Jackie Wilson's " Higher and Higher," with a slew of dancers joining him in the choreographed musical number.

Renfield Deleted Scenes Explained As said above, the dancing sequence was partially included during Renfield's credits. This is because the full scene was ultimately cut from the final film, so only a sneak peek was placed during the credits. In addition to being shared by Hoult, Renfield director Chris McKay confirmed that the deleted scene would be featured on the film's Blu-ray version.

A few more deleted scenes McKay mentioned were those featuring Renfield's Ben Schwartz as Tedward. McKay explained that Schwartz improvised a few of his Renfield scenes and that some will turn up in the Blu-ray version. Schwartz is best known for his improv work, even starring in Netflix's first long-form improv special, Middleditch and Schwartz, so it isn't surprising he often reverts to improv while doing scripted comedy.
