The 3000 occupants have been told to expect the results in the afternoon, Victoria's Health Department says.

Late last night health officials announced they had finished testing residents within the towers at Flemington and North Melbourne. Final results from the 3000 residents' tests undertaken in the towers are expected to be handed down today. There are currently 75 cases of coronavirus within the towers, with dozens of cases confirmed already this week.

Residents were placed into lockdown on Saturday afternoon and told they would be shut inside for five days initially. But they have been told that until health officials have all the COVID-19 test results, and a clear plan is developed to support those who test positive or is a close contact, residents will need to remain inside.
