Sleep disorder and breathing devices company ResMed has recorded a 12 per cent increase in full-year revenue to $US3.6 billion.
Sleep disorder and breathing devices company ResMed had a $US250 million windfall gain in 2022, thanks to an own goal by its rival Philips which was forced to recall some of its devices over a risky component in June last year.
The San Diego-based company, which is listed on both the ASX and New York Stock Exchange, makes products to help treat sleep apnoea, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma. The inability for Philips to win new patients in the continuous positive airway pressure machine market will result in an estimated under-contested $US600 million sales opportunity for ResMed in 2023.
“Looking ahead, we are confident in our ability to grow steadily throughout fiscal year 2023 and to continue delivering for all stakeholders.D to drive accelerated adoption of digital health solutions in sleep apnoea, COPD, and outside-hospital care, as we progress towards our goal to improve 250 million lives in 2025.”
