Democratic representative Eric Swalwell, who tried unsuccessfully to convict the former president of impeachment last month, is launching a civil suit against Donald Trump and his allies.

"As such, the defendants are responsible for the injury and destruction that followed," said representative Eric Swalwell, who filed the lawsuit.
