He said said three good Samaritans stepped in to help get him to the curb safely and filmed the suspect driving off in the recognizable Mini Cooper. "That gave me a chance to look up and make eye contact with the individual," said Velasquez. "He did have a look of concern, mainly for himself, not for me in any way."
Velasquez said he's eternally grateful to the three good Samaritans who rushed to his aid. Grateful to be alive, Velasquez said he has no doubt that the suspect knows he hit him. He's just hoping he'll do the right thing and turn himself in.
