Mariam Raad was arrested in January 2023 and charged with entering or remaining in an area controlled by the Islamic State group.

So-called "ISIS-bride" Ms Raad, from Young, appeared in Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday where her lawyer Sarah Hedberg indicated that she would enter a plea and asked for a sentencing date to be set. Magistrate Geraldine Beattie set sentencing for June 12, with a mention in May to confirm the guilty plea.
