The expansion to Villa Park’s North Stand is expected to cost £100million and will take the venue’s capacity to more than 50,000., but the redevelopment of Villa Park is set to grow that figure significantly. Construction is set to start next year, with the project’s completion date set for the start of the 2026/27 season ready for it to be included as a host venue for the 2028 European Championships.analysis expects matchday revenue to soar above £35million as a result of the capacity increase. The expansion will add an additional 7,300 seats as well as a new fan zone and hospitality sectors.
Villa’s matchday revenue once the stadium development is complete is set to rival the likes of Newcastle United and West Ham, who both boast stadiums with capacity over 50,000. Should Villa continue to compete in Europe, the additional matches would further increase matchday revenue with the club set to earn just short of £2million per match.
