Revealed Bryan Gil set for key Tottenham role as Postecoglou very impressed in training - sourcesGil was expected to leave in the summer window after a spell on loan at Sevilla in the second half of last season but is now closing in on a comeback and a first-team role at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The 22-year-old has not featured for Spurs since January and only recently returned to full training following a groin injury he picked up in the summer. Gil has impressed manager Ange Postecoglou in training at Hotspur Way and is in line for a major role in the side following long-term injuries to Ivan Perisic and Manor Solomon., that Solomon suffered a meniscus injury to his right knee in training this week and has undergone surgery on the problem.
He is set to be out until Christmas while last month teammate Ivan Perisic broke down with a complex anterior cruciate ligament injury that was also picked up in training.The injuries have opened the door for Gil, who made 11 first team appearances last term before being sent out on loan, to force his way into Postecoglou’s new-look Tottenham side.
