Court documents have shown the shock jock admitted to being tough on his co-host at times, but argued this does not prove he breached his contract as the network used the material to make money. He pointed to promotional clips of the duo's spats, with one encouraging to hear the"EXPLOSIVE off air fight".
In one example of an off-air row, back in 2025, Sandilands said Henderson was"away with the fairies", with the latter complaining she was"constantly getting f***ing gas lit around here". According to court documents, Kyle Sandilands has admitted to berating his co-host Jackie 'O' Henderson, but claimed he was encouraged to do so by his former employer.
Picture: Sky News Australia This spat was mentioned by Sandilands on air and featured in a podcast by ARN titled “Kyle and Jackie’s unheard EXPLOSIVE off air fight” on May 5, 2025. Sandilands' legal team listed several examples of the shock jock's behaviour they argue was not a breach of his contract, because they argue ARN had created an environment where it was acceptable.
“ without directing or requesting Mr Sandilands or Ms Henderson, not to engage in conduct of that kind. ” ARN terminated Sandilands' contract accusing him of a"breach of contract" following an on-air row with Henderson earlier this year. Henderson and Sandilands' radio partnership was characterised by explosive rows before it came to an end earlier this year.
Picture: KIIS FM Both Sandilands and Henderson are suing Commonwealth Broadcasting Corporation , a subsidiary of ARN Media that runs KIIS FM, for unlawful termination, following the on-air bust-up that saw The Kyle and Jackie O Show come to an end. It comes after Sandilands teased he is"coming back bigger than ever" with a brand new project.
"G’day on the fan page. What a surprise that I’ve even got fans left. Guys, thank you for your support, I’ve read all of it," Sandilands began.
"Let me tell you a little secret, ssh, don’t tell anyone, but I’m working on a new project and all will be revealed soon. SkyNews.com.au has contacted Sandilands and Henderson for comment. A representative of ARN Media declined to comment.
