The wealthiest postcodes in the country have been revealed through new data from the Australian Taxation Office, which also lists the highest paid professions and the average income.
released this week showed the 6581 residents in the 6011 postcode had an average taxable income of $325,343 in the 2019-20 financial year.
Cottesloe and Peppermint Grove's rise to the top also marks the first time since 2010-11 a non-New South Wales postcode has come out at number one. The 3142 postcode in Victoria - Hawksburn and Toorak - was fifth on the list with an average taxable income of $184,939.
