Corteo, which means ‘procession’ in Italian, tells the story of an ageing clown named Mauro who, on his deathbed, dreams of his life and his funeral cortege.Mauro, played by Gonzalo Munoz Ferrer, lies in his hospital bed as angels float around him before chandeliers are lowered and aerial acrobats begin to perform the death-defying stunts that Cirque is known for.
