The air is crisp, the leaves have changed, and Halloween is right around the corner.
With spooky season in full swing, you may find yourself wanting to carve a pumpkin, and Reynoldsburg is lending a helping hand to beginners.celebration kicked off on Saturday at JFK Park on East Main Street. With food trucks, family, and even a dog parade, the event offers fun for people of all ages.On Saturday afternoon, a workshop was open for beginners of all ages with a demonstration by an artist carving a huge pumpkin weighing nearly 900 pounds.
"We look at the pumpkin, we look at the shape of it," artist Deane Arnold told ABC 6 at the event. "We look for opportunities to see if that looks like a forehead you can see it already had cheeks and a chin so Julia kind of exaggerated that to get the face on this thing."Later on Saturday evening, the community gathered for the city's Community Halloween Party at the park.
Attendees can come Sunday afternoon for the city's third annual Spooky Pooch Parade, where Halloween will go to the dogs quite literally as they show off their costumes for the community.
