Richardson ISD reminds parents and students about the importance of regular attendance.
The Richardson ISD Administration Building in Richardson, Texas, Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022.Regular attendance in elementary grades is one of the strongest predictors that a student will perform on grade level throughout their time in the district, according to Richardson ISD.
Regular attendance also increases engagement, helps build routines and establishes a solid foundation for learning. Students who miss between five and nine days a semester are 25 percent less likely to graduate in four years, the district said.
