Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Richarlison from Everton in a deal worth up to £60 million,The Brazil striker underwent his medical in Brazil today and will now join the north London club on a five-year deal.
It is understood Everton rejected a £40 million bid for Richarlison on Wednesday before the offer was raised significantly. Another club showed late interest in him but that was not enough to stop Spurs completing the deal. The Brazilian has been at Everton since 2018 but now wants to test himself on the European stage.
Tottenham would give Richarlison the platform to do just that as Conte's side qualified for the Champions League by finishing in fourth place last season. Richarlison, who has been capped 36 times by Brazil, has scored 53 goals in 152 games since joining Everton from Watford in a deal worth £40 million that also included a 10% sell-on clause.Richarlison will follow Yves Bissouma, Fraser Forster and Ivan Perisic in joining Tottenham ahead of the new campaign.
