Treasurer Jim Chalmers has fired up at Peter Dutton who he says hasn't moved on from former prime ministers Scott Morrison and Tony Abbott.

Earlier in the press conference, the Treasurer said he was"confident" the budget won't add to inflation as we"recognise that Australians are under the pump". to help everyday Australians, Mr Chalmers admitted the budget does pay"particular attention to the most vulnerable" however he said it also provides help for everyone.
The decision to scrap the scheme has sparked debate as some argue those on a low to middle income are not being provided any relief in this budget.
