The superstar will move to an executive chair position at the lingerie brand
Rihanna has transitioned into a new role at one of her business ventures.
The multi-hyphenate and Fenty mogul has stepped down as CEO of her lingerie brand Savage X Fenty, which she co-founded in 2018.reported this week that Hillary Super, former CEO at Anthropologie Group, will step into the role starting on June 26, while Rihanna will still hold a leadership role in a new position as executive chair.
"It's been beautiful to see our vision for Savage X Fenty impact the industry at such an incredible magnitude over the last five years," Rihanna said in a statement to the outlet. "This is just the beginning for us, and we're going to continue to expand in ways that always connect with the consumer. I'm so grateful and excited to welcome Hillary Super as our new CEO — she is a strong leader and is focused on taking the business to an even higher level.
Since its founding, Savage X Fenty has been heralded for its focus on inclusivity in size in color, while appealing to a wide range of body types and skin tones. The brand is also known for itsSuper—who has also previously held leadership positions at brands including American Eagle, Guess, Gap and Old Navy—plans to amplify the lingerie brand'sas the company looks to expand its scope beyond e-commerce. So far the brand has already opened seven stores across the U.S.
