The death of Will Riker and Deanna Troi’s son Thad had a tremendous impact on the couple, but they could see him again in Star Trek: Legacy.
Star Trek: Legacy could potentially see an appearance by Thad Riker, the late son of Captain William Riker and Counselor Deanna Troi . Born aboard the USS Titan after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis, Thad became ill with a rare disease as a child. In an effort to save their son, Riker and Troi - along with daughter Kestra - relocated to the restorative planet Nepenthe, though Thad eventually died from the disease, leaving Riker and Troi shattered.
How Star Trek: Legacy Can Show Riker’s Son, Thad Star Trek is no stranger to dramatic resurrections. The death and revival of Spock in the Star Trek: The Original Series films are part of pop culture lore at this point. Star Trek: Picard season 3 saw the long-deceased android Data returned to life in a new synthetic body. Even Admiral Jean-Luc Picard shrugged off his seeming demise at the end of Picard season 1.
