Sky News host Amanda Stoker says the “rise” in legal claims for ‘transition regret’ will drive fewer controversial treatments being administered to children who change their gender.

“The rise in legal claims from those who experience what’s called ‘transition regret’ will mean a reduction in insurance coverage is what drives fewer of these controversial treatments being administered to children,” Ms Stoker said.

This comes after one of the four major medical indemnity providers which insures GPs and private practitioners against legal claims, MDA National, updated its policy this month to exclude cover for claims relating to gender transitioning treatment for anyone under 18 years old.
