Two protesters have been granted bail after paddling into the path of a Newcastle shipping channel banned to protesters. Another 150 people are also facing criminal charges.

The Newcastle Local Court heard Ms Hodgson was on bail for other charges at the time of the alleged offences."The bail conditions that were imposed have a condition not to commit any offences and not to enter Port Waratah or go within 2 kilometres of that area," Magistrate Janine Lacy said. Magistrate Lacy said she found bail had been breached but she was satisfied bail for the new charges could be mitigated under conditions.
