The body of a Los Angeles man was found July 31 in a river bottom area.
RIVERSIDE — The Riverside Police Department said Sunday it was continuing to investigate a July homicide.
Officers from the Riverside PD responded to a river bottom area near the Regional Water Quality Control Plant and the Van Buren Boulevard Bridge to a report of a possible dead body found on July 31 around 9:30 a.m.During the investigation, suspicious injuries were discovered on the victim that appear consistent with assault, reported officer Ryan Railsback.Anyone with additional information regarding this investigation was encouraged to contact Detective Anthony Watkins at 951-353-7105.
