Robbie Williams sparked controversy during his New Year's Eve performance at Sydney Opera House when he appeared to scold a fan for singing along. While performing 'Me And My Monkey,' Williams expressed frustration, telling the crowd to stop doing the lyrics, though it's unclear if he used the word 'shut up.' Despite the incident, Williams delivered a 40-minute set filled with hits and even promoted his new film, 'Better Man,' a biopic comedy musical.
Robbie Williams has been caught apparently blasting a fan during New Year’s Eve celebration in Sydney on Tuesday, appearing to jokingly blame them singing along with his performance for him mixing up the lyrics to one of his songs.
Williams went on to deliver a stellar performance of the song on the small stage. All up, the British popstar appeared on stage for about 40 minutes, clearly in a good mood as he reintroduced himself to the crowd of NYE revellers. “Allow me to reintroduce myself. This is my band, this is my a*** and you better be good. Because I am phenomenal,” Williams said. Williams went on to speak about his new film Better Man.
