The veteran journalist had taken his former employer to the Federal Court after an internal investigation into allegations of 'inappropriate behaviour' that led to his sacking in June.

Robert Ovadia has dropped his case against former employer Seven Network , his lawyer said in a statement.

Mr Ovadia was fired after 23 years in June, following an internal investigation that cited "serious misconduct", according to his barrister.The court heard in August that 13 additional women had came forward with complaints against Mr Ovadia, which he described as "baseless" allegations.
