as disproportionate, wrong, unsubstantiated and absurd, while accusing Labor of abusing the commission process to carry out a “political lynching”.
Mr Morrison likened the royal commission to the inquiry into his secret ministries, saying Labor was determined to tear him down to detract from his legacy of steering the nation through the coronavirus pandemic.“This campaign of political lynching has once again included the weaponisation of a quasi-legal process to launder the government’s political vindictiveness. They need to move on,” he said.
The fallout led to calls for Mr Morrison to leave parliament, including from some of his Coalition colleagues.
