Weller took the role in the original film, RoboCop, in 1987, and RoboCop 2, in 1990. But he wasn’t in RoboCop 3, in which the role went to Robert Burke. So it’s pretty cool that Weller is returning to the role here. “Welcome to Detroit; crime runs rampant as the city lies on the edge of ruin, people fighting for scraps as others live extravagant lives of luxury. Control of the Detroit Police Department is given to the Omni Consumer Products corporation in an attempt to restore order.
