That was not the ruling from the league office the Rockets were waiting to hear as they reconvened for practice in Los Angeles. After a skirmish in Friday’s fourth quarter earned Garrison Mathews and Tari Eason ejections, Rockets players Jalen Green and Tate seemed to leave the bench area, putting them in jeopardy of receiving one-game suspensions.
Paul George and Luke Kennard are out for the Clippers and John Wall and Marcus Morris are doubtful. The Rockets, with losses in 14 of 15 games and in their past six games against the Clippers, have enough issues of their own to feel much sympathy.The Rockets will go from a pair of games against the NBA’s top-scoring team to face the team ranked 29th in scoring, 28th in offensive rating.
