When it came to individual goals for the final six weeks of the season, it was not a surprise that Rockets rookie Tari Eason pointed to his defense. The plan, he said, is to not just do what he does best and do it better, but to improve on the area he said he is already the best of the 2022-23 rookie class.
“I feel like I’m the best rookie defender in this class. I just want to stamp that in these last 24 games, stamp that for my team, do what I do to help my team win.” He is averaging 8.7 points in 19.4 minutes per game. His 34.5 percent 3-point shooting is third best on the Rockets, behind Usman Garuba and Kevin Porter Jr.
