Rockhampton police are investigating an afternoon brawl which saw one man fire a rifle in the middle of a busy street.
At 3.30pm on Monday, the video shows two men started a fight in a busy Rockhampton street. The dramatic recording shows punches being thrown in the eastbound lanes of Fitzroy St, between Murray St and George Lane, as bystanders watch on.
Rockhampton Police are seeking public assistance after a daylight brawl resulted in shots fired on Monday.Shortly after, the woman and one of the men involved in the altercation walked back to a parked blue car in George Lane.A Queensland Police spokesperson said the man had “discharged the weapon down Fitzroy St towards the man and woman walking to their vehicle.”The other man and woman drove off at speed as well.
Rockhampton detectives are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, has mobile phone footage of the incident, or who was in the area of Fitzroy St, George Lane or Archer St between 3.15pm and 4pm and may have dashcam footage to contact them.
