From Film Masters, the upcoming release contains new HD restorations of both of Corman’s movies alongside various bonus features, including a commentary track for The Terror by C. Courtney Joyner and Dr. Steve Haberman and a commentary track for The Little Shop of Horrors featuring author Justin Humphreys and the film’s star, Jonathan Haze. “The Terror has languished in the public domain for decades,” stated Film Masters President Phil Hopkins. “We’re delighted to have put together a celebratory and thought-provoking version with an award-winning team of contributors. Fans of the film will appreciate the editorial bonus features, which take a much-needed deep dive into this infamous Corman classic.
The Little Shop of Horrors was first released in 1960 and was made within days on a budget of $28,000. After gaining a cult following, the film would be adapted into a beloved off-Broadway musical byin 1982.
