Ubisoft has rebuked claims that it is to cancel free-to-play offering Roller Champions after less than three months following its launch.
. It reads “Let’s clear it out of the way first, isn’t getting cancelled, and Ubisoft fully supports it. What the Roller Champions dev team is doing is making sure we focus on what our players have told us needs improvement, and that supersedes all other priorities.”
To that end, the team has declared it’s extending the current Disco Fever season. There’s two main reasons for this, Ubisoft say. First is so they can deploy a patch to enable cross-invites to allow players to team up properly across platforms. This will help the team “deliver on the game’s promise as being a resolutely social experience”.
The second plan of action will see the development team take feedback from the community. They’re pledging to “solve the issues our players have voiced as irritants before we release our new season.” While the Cross-Invite patch will include some of these fixes, the team say they’ll work on more fixes before they drop the next season, whenever that will be.
“As far as content is concerned,” they say. “We can tell you that we’ve got exciting stuff planned for the next seasons. We strongly believe, however, that before we release new content, we’ve got to do right by our players, hence why we are taking the time needed before we do.”will keep on rolling. It’s available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
Hello Champions! Let’s clear it out of the way first, Roller Champions isn’t getting cancelled, and Ubisoft fully supports it.
