Cromes’ resume includes partnering with local banks to create a home-improvement loan program and developing a Financial Wellness Fair that connected residents to financial advisors, according to a news release from Cuyahoga County.requires the treasurer to have at least five years experience managing finances for a government entity; Cromes was Portage County’s treasurer for eight years.
Though the nomination needs to be confirmed by Cuyahoga County Council, Cromes already announced his Nov. 1 retirement from Portage County on his Facebook page.Cromes’ salary would be $135,000 per year, county spokeswoman Kelly Woodard said in an email.
