Western Bulldogs forward turned defender Rory Lobb has continued his career resurrection with a stunning performance to help his side to a 47-point demolition of Geelong at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday night. The Bulldogs, who had lost 20 of the past 24 to the Cats, dominated from the outset in brutal conditions. In driving rain and on muddy ground that was reminiscent of the old days, the Dogs had too much firepower for the shell-shocked Cats.
“Obviously I was not in very good form and had a good game as a forward against Freo and was lucky enough to not be able to get dropped because of how well I played against Fremantle. In that game against Fremantle, he kicked three goals, which was enough to keep him in the side and eventually his shift down back. “I am really enjoying my time down back, it’s a good vibe and the boys get around me,” he added.
