Rossendale Indian restaurant's 'non-stop nightmare' as it faces potential closure after 'unbelievably quiet' period
A popular Rossendale Indian restaurant may be forced to cut staff and even face potential closure following a drop in table bookings. In a desperate Facebook post, highly-rated Anarkali in Haslingden said they would be "letting a couple of staff go" after an "unbelievably quiet" two week period, with a solitary table booking on one night.
Appealing directly to the restaurant's 6.5k followers, Yasin said in the post: "Please support us by sharing our posts you don’t want another lovely local restaurant closing down. All our hard work gone to bits." Some offered their own explanation for the dramatic drop in bookings, blaming the cost of living crisis with "people struggling right now".
