Sky News host Chris Smith says people like FIFA President Gianni Infantino and his “money-hungry FIFA outfit” should be “roundly condemned”.

Mr Infantino has been under enormous criticism for his role in ensuring the World Cup host remained Qatar, according to Mr Smith.

“He wanted critics to engage, make friends, don’t start accusing, don’t fight, don’t insult – this is what he said the world should be doing,” Mr Smith said. “No, what we should be doing is just telling the truth, is calling out rotten, corrupt and hideous regimes who some sporting authorities such as FIFA think deserve to host the world’s greatest sporting events.”
