While a number of players who won the 2013 Grey Cup will be at the game on Saturday as the Saskatchewan Roughriders host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in Week 18 of the CFL season, one player who was part of the losing team in 2013 will be there as well.
And while his team didn’t win, considering how his career has turned out, it’s not necessarily a negative memory for him. “Looking back, just how everything worked out in my career and being here now, I look at it as a positive for sure.” “It was a cool experience,” said Lauther, 32, who has been the Riders’ primary kicker since 2018. “A memory that always sticks in my head, and will forever, is just when our offence was about to go on the field and just the ‘Henry’ chants and how loud it was.“I knew back then if I ever got a chance to play for that team, I’d want to. It’s been surreal playing the last few years for them.”
