The Brisbane forward drew the ire of the Roosters team and fans alike after he tackled Cronk late after a pass in the 17th minute.
Pangai's shot in the back was described by Channel 9 commentator and eighth Immortal Andrew Johns as a"dog shot". "I'd prefer not to [be hit late] but sometimes it's part of football. Sometimes they do it so halves don't go into the line and create space but I'll keep doing that for my team as long as guys can take advantage of it."
He insisted he was carrying no injury and was no chance of missing his team's round five match at Shark Park next Saturday.
